When I started my business in January 2003 this quote and thought buried in my mind. Because I had zero experience in the business I was getting into, I had to identify 4 core beliefs that created a foundation to propel me through the learning curve dip this business requires.
- Product Belief – I personally saw life-changing results, but in turn helped others transform
- Pay Plan Belief – I earned income immediately when I helped people transform. I earned even more income when I taught others to help people transform. I knew if I could make $12 from my first transaction, I could make $120, and in turn $1,200 and $12,000 and so on by helping more.
- Company Belief – The company values matched values I wanted in my life. The company’s financial stability and core business was in the booming wellness industry.
- The System – I saw proof that others who came before me had success, and those who started after me could have success. I didn’t have to reinvent the wheel. I could do this part-time and build it like a real investment.
Going back to these core beliefs always gave me hope. They anchored me to the long-term process this business requires to be successful. The personal growth and continued work on becoming a better leader and communicator takes time. I was in it for the long haul.
